For this 214,000-square-foot LEED Platinum-certified renovation and addition, we provided comprehensive plumbing solutions to support the University of Oregon’s commitment to sustainability, student engagement, and community inclusivity.
Our scope included:
- Plumbing system upgrades for both the existing renovation and new addition, integrating high-efficiency water distribution and drainage systems to align with LEED Platinum standards.
- Restroom and facility upgrades, featuring water-saving fixtures, ADA-compliant installations, and high-capacity drainage to accommodate heavy student and visitor use.
- Kitchen and dining room plumbing, including:
- Grease waste systems and commercial kitchen plumbing to support restaurant and food service operations.
- Hot water distribution and high-efficiency water heating systems to meet sustainability goals.
- Plumbing for specialized spaces, such as:
- Multicultural and LGBTQIA+ centers, student lounges, and childcare facilities, ensuring reliable and accessible water supply.
- Ballroom, auditorium, and meeting spaces, featuring hydration stations, catering support plumbing, and utility sinks for multipurpose use.
- Sports and activities rooms, equipped with shower and locker room facilities designed for high-traffic usage.
- Sustainable plumbing features, including:
- Low-flow fixtures and water conservation strategies to reduce overall consumption.
- Integration with the building’s radiant slab heating system, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.
By delivering high-performance, code-compliant plumbing solutions, we helped create a modern, resource-efficient, and student-focused campus hub that exceeds sustainability goals while supporting diverse programming, dining, and community engagement spaces.
