Arts & Technology Academy
1650 W 22nd Ave, Eugene, OR 97405
The transformation of the former Jefferson Middle School into the cutting-edge Arts & Technology Academy was a large-scale addition and renovation project, funded through Eugene 4J’s 2013 bond measure. Designed to support STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education, the facility blends structural steel and mass timber construction with state-of-the-art mechanical and electrical systems.
Our plumbing scope included:
- Upgrading and expanding plumbing infrastructure to support the facility’s modernized classrooms, labs, and student spaces.
- Specialized plumbing for technology-enhanced educational areas, including:
- Lab spaces with dedicated water supply and drainage systems to support hands-on learning.
- Utility sinks and eyewash stations for science and engineering classrooms.
- Restroom and ADA-compliant fixture installations, ensuring accessibility and efficiency with high-performance, water-saving plumbing solutions.
- Commercial kitchen and cafeteria plumbing, featuring:
- Grease waste systems for food service operations.
- High-efficiency water heating and distribution for kitchen and dishwashing stations.
By delivering high-quality, code-compliant plumbing solutions, we helped modernize and future-proof the Arts & Technology Academy, supporting a technologically advanced, energy-efficient learning environment for the next generation of students.
