For this phased renovation of a 30,000-square-foot, three-story university building, we provided specialized plumbing solutions to support the transformation of 16 new wet research laboratories, classrooms, and office spaces.

Phase 1 involved the demolition and rework of the existing plumbing system, requiring careful coordination to modify and repurpose existing infrastructure while maintaining functionality for occupied areas. Our team ensured proper tie-ins, rerouted supply and waste lines, and prepared the system for the next phase of construction.

Phase 2 included the installation of new plumbing systems to support the built-out lab spaces, which required:

  • Dedicated lab gas piping for compressed air, vacuum, and specialty gases.
  • Deionized (DI) and purified water systems for research applications.
  • Lab waste and acid-neutralization systems to meet chemical drainage and environmental safety standards.
  • High-efficiency fixtures and emergency eyewash stations to support safety and compliance.
  • Classroom and office space plumbing upgrades, including restroom renovations and breakroom water supply.

By providing precise, code-compliant plumbing solutions, we helped create a modernized, fully functional research and educational facility that meets the high demands of university laboratory environments.
